A First: President Duterte to grace PMA Graduation Ceremony

March 10, 2023 (Baguio City) — Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, His Excellency President Rodrigo Roa Duterte is expected to grace the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Salaknib (Shield) Class of 2017 Graduation Ceremony on March 12th for the first time as President of the Republic of the Philippines.  A total of 167 graduates will march on Sunday to formally accept their diploma in Bachelor of Science. VVIPs namely: Department of National Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana; GEN EDUARDO AÑO, Chief of Staff of the AFP; LTGEN GLORIOSO MIRANDA AFP, CG, PA; VICE ADM RONALD JOSEPH S MERCADO AFP, FOIC, PN; LTGEN EDGAR FALLORINA AFP, CG, PAF; and the President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, are expected to be present on the said event.  The Presidential Security Group, in collaboration with the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) and Northern Luzon Command, will be in-charge in providing overall security for the said event.
