PRRD takes rest but continues working

“Tired. He’s just tired. Like I said, he has been on the road for about 23 days . . . fulfilling his martial law supervision.”

These were the exact words of Presidential Spokesperson Ernesto Abella yesterday as response to questions on why President Rodrigo Roa Duterte has not been seen on public since Monday, 12 June.

Whilst many assumed the reason behind is related with his health condition, the Palace assured the public that Mr. President is honestly doing great. It was also reiterated that he is just taking some time to rest.

“Don’t you ever rest? I’m saying there is nothing to worry about in terms of sickness, major sickness,” Spokesperson Abello added.

In the photo below, he is seen assisted by PSG troopers as he departs for Davao from Villamor Airbase yesterday after spending his time reviewing some official documents at Bahay Pagbabago.

Mr. President is really dedicated with his love for the Filipino nation—that even when he decides to rest, he still cannot keep himself from working. He may not be seen in public but that doesn’t mean he’s doing nothing.
