President Duterte listens to rallyists

Reaching out to the grassroots—who would have thought that a national leader can go out on the streets to hear the pleas of his constituents?

No other than President Rodrigo Roa Duterte stepped out of the Palace’s premises and walked along Mendiola Street last Monday to meet 200 rallyists and hear their demands for land reform. He personally talked to them so they can feel that they are not left behind by the present administration.

As a former local chief executive, President Duterte knows the importance of reaching out and listening to people in order to make governance work. This is his way to prove that democracy is fully recognized by our government.
