Presidential Security Group (PSG) Commander, COL JOSE ERIEL M NIEMBRA PA (GSC), is now a general.
He is an officer, tagged as a silent worker by the media, has just been donned at General Headquarters, Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo in Quezon City, by no other than GEN BENJAMIN MADRIGAL AFP, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (CSAFP) earlier today, March 04, 2019. BGEN JOSE ERIEL M NIEMBRA AFP was welcomed by his troopers in PSG Headquarters, Malacañang Park, Manila, and celebrated with him for the star he just got.
This is in recognition to his accomplishments as a notable and outstanding leader of PSG troopers whose mandate is to protect the President of the Republic as well as the first family and other dignitaries.
In a statement during the celebration for his promotion, he thanked all the officers, enlisted personnel, and civilian employees of the Command and said, “An officer is a mixture or combination of his past commanders. Additionally, he is a mixture of his workmates, may they be officers, enlisted personnel, or civilians, while he is growing up in the service. And I am sure, wherever I may reach, I will always remember that one triangle among my first star was made in PSG. I would not have gotten [this promotion] without your support and cooperation. So, I thank God for keeping our President safe—making us successful in our mandate. Thank you everyone, and to God be the glory, always.”
Same donning of his rank was also done by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte at Malacañan Palace last March 06, 2019. President Duterte saluted him while saying, “Sir, yes, sir!” as a congratulatory remark to his promotion.
Congratulations BGEN JOSE ERIEL M NIEMBRA AFP!
