The Knights of Columbus Council lauds BGEN NIEMBRA

BGEN JOSE ERIEL M NIEMBRA AFP has earned another recognition from a non-government organization, The Knights of Columbus Council, during the latter’s visit and courtesy call at Presidential Security Group Headquarters located in Malacañang Park, Manila.

The Knights of Columbus headed by Mr. Wilfredo Acasion recognized the efforts being exerted by the Command in achieving a cleaner environment in Metro Manila through its initiatives in cleaning the stretch of Pasig River as well as voluntarily organizing a clean-up drive in support to President Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s “Battle for Manila Bay.”

It was mentioned in the award that it was presented “for his able leadership as PSG Commander and his exemplary performance of duty in the successful implementation of the PSG’s social responsibility programs for the community development in areas of health, education, and environmental preservation—especially [in helping] revive our Pasig River and the Manila Bay.”

They also recognized the Command’s efforts, through BGEN NIEMBRA’s leadership, in conducting medical missions that have helped thousands of residents in nearby communities.

The award was given by K of C Laguna Chapter to BGEN NIEMBRA last 03 September 2019. The award was made possible through the efforts of Prof. Alexander Lorenzo, PRO and chief proponent of Knights of Columbus projects.

The Knights of Columbus is known to be the world’s largest Catholic fraternal service organization, which was established in year 1882, that provides assistance to the less fortunate by conducting charitable services and other relief operations assistance.
