The Presidential Security Group in collaboration with the school staff and different volunteers from the units of PSG participated in the nationwide kick-off of the Department of Education (DepEd) Brigada Eskwela 2022 with the theme: “Tugon sa Hamon ng Ligtas na Balik-Aral”, which aims to promote cohesiveness and resiliency in basic education.
This year, PSG extends its services to the Silahis ng Katarungan Special School in Paz Street, Paco, Manila and Jacinto Zamora Elementary School in Quirino Avenue, Pandacan, Manila.
PSG joins its hands by providing assistance to these schools that are within its area of responsibility by sending its PSG troopers as well as donate supplies and resources necessary in preparing the said public school facilities for the opening of the school year.
PSG donated hygiene and sanitation items, cleaning supplies, construction materials for constructing isolation/health rooms, and facility repair; and provided manpower to help in the cleaning and beautification of the schools’ premises.
This meaningful endeavor shows that the PSG is not only limited in serving and protecting the President of the Republic of the Philippines but also in serving its immediate community by extending help and support to the said schools which brings the PSG and the presidency closer to the people.
