PSG trooper leads national anthem at PBA Finals

It is once more the time of the year for the 2017 Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Commissioners Cup Finals to bring Filipino fans together with the Game 3.

What makes it distinct from other PBA games is this: it is also a time to recognize the brave soldiers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) who are fighting for our nation’s stability.

Together with 12 other members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), LT LADY CHATTERLY I ALVARO PN, a PSG trooper, wholeheartedly offered her talent to participate in singing of the national anthem as part of PBA’s honoring ceremony today for our troops who are, up until now, giving their all to bring back peace and harmony in Mindanao, specifically in Marawi, after local terrorist group Maute tried to invade the city in 23 May.

PSG trooper LT ALVARO was accompanied by our troops from Security Escort Group (SEG-GHQ) and Headquarters Service Command (HSC) from General Headquarters of AFP (AFP-GHQ).

As a support to our troops, fifteen wounded soldiers from Marawi were also given recognition by PBA for their selfless act in serving the Filipino nation. The gesture was also PBA’s way of showing their hard stance against terrorism in the country.
