Security Battalion (SBn), a unit under Presidential Security Group, clinked their glasses yesterday as they rejoice for their 13th anniversary.
PSG Commander LOPE C DAGOY AFP and Chief of Staff COL POTENCIANO C CAMBA PA, along with officers of PSG were present during their ceremonial celebration held at SBn Social Hall.
The program included the blessing of kubo for 1st Company followed by their tour at Miracle Garden, a previously vacant lot converted into a recreation area landscaped with greenery and native furniture from Quezon Province.
LTC OLIVER C LOGAN (INF) PA commended the efforts of his troops that paved way to the improvement of their safe haven referred to as Miracle Garden. He mentioned, “Palakpakan ninyo ang mga sarili ninyo. Kayo ang may gawa nito. (Give yourselves a round of applause. This is your project.)”
“Sa mga ganitong panahon lang nagkakatipun-tipon. Ito yung ekpresyon ng unity natin but in the midst of all the challenges we are facing walang rason para hindi tayo magkasama-sama lalo na sa mga ganitong pagkakataon,” BGEN Dagoy said.
The event ended with a get together in the evening at the same venue where the troopers who serve as bulletproof vest of the President in every engagement had the chance to spend time with one another and take respite from the challenging role they are portraying for the safety and security of the bravest President the Philippines has ever had.
