PH welcomes ASEAN leaders

Following Brunei Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah and Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak, other seven dignitaries arrived yesterday afternoon to attend the 30th ASEAN Summit here in the Philippines.

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen, arrived first at Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 2 followed by Myanmar State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyl.

Indonesian President Joko Widodo, State President of Socialist Republic of Viet Nam Troung Tang Sang, Thailand Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-Ocha, Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, and People’s Democratic Republic of Lao Prime Minister Thongloun Sisoulith, also arrived at NAIA Terminal 1 today.

They were all escorted by the Presidential Security Group directly to their respective hotels where they will stay. PSG troopers are set to secure their safety until they depart the Philippines after the Summit this month.
