The Presidential Security Group (PSG) Troopers did a great job in securing the safety of ten  (10) leaders of Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), who were all present during the ASEAN Summit 2017 held in Manila on 29 April 2017.

In abidance to the directive of PSG Commander BGEN LOPE C DAGOY AFP not to commit any error on ASEAN Summit 2017, the whole unit gave its 101% in protecting all ASEAN leaders from all possible threats from the day of their arrival to their departure date. All of the ASEAN leaders including Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen, Myanmar State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyl, Indonesian President Joko Widodo, State President of Socialist Republic of Viet Nam Troung Tang Sang, Thailand Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-o-cha, Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, People’s Democratic Republic of Lao Prime Minister Thongloun Sisoulith, and Philippine President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, together with their respective spouses, were safe and sound in the whole duration of the event.
